IWC REF.804Aは1960年代に製造されたモデルで、当時としては比較的大型となる36.5mmケースを採用しています。このサイズは同時期のIWCのドレス系モデルと比べても大きく、視認性と装着時のバランスの良さが特徴です。ケースは薄型に仕上げられ、クラシックなデザインながら現代でも扱いやすいサイズ感となっています。
ムーブメントには自動巻きのCal.8541を搭載しています。ペラトン式巻上げ機構を採用したIWCの代表的なムーブメントのひとつで、耐久性や巻上げ効率に優れ、適切な整備が行われていれば安定した精度を発揮します。1960年代のIWC自動巻きラインを象徴するキャリバーです。

The IWC REF.804A was produced in the 1960s and features a relatively large 36.5mm case for its time. Compared to other dress models from IWC in the same period, this larger diameter offers improved legibility and a well-balanced presence on the wrist. The case is finished in a slim profile, giving it a classic appearance while remaining easy to wear in a modern context.
The watch is powered by the automatic Caliber 8541, one of IWC’s notable movements equipped with the Pellaton winding system. The clasp is stamped for the fourth quarter of 1965, which corresponds naturally with the watch case produced in 1966, making it an appropriate vintage combination.
